I put an Edelbrock Pro-Flow (http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/ProductDisplay?prrfnbr=515&prmenbr=361) on mine... Had a chrome high-flow (http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/ProductDisplay?prrfnbr=531&prmenbr=361) on it before. I noticed a HUGE difference... breathes MUCH BETTER now.

You've got a 94 Camaro right. V6 or V8? either way, get the SLP Cold Air Intake. I'll guarantee you that you'll love it. I just got mine today. The thing never gets hot. I touched mine after riding around for 2 hours and it was hardly even warm. It's awesome. Check it out:

Makes a nice growl now. I'm dieing to hear what it will sound like once I get my headers and cat-back installed.

I have the SLP cold air intake on my car and it definatly helps out. It never has been hot, it will get warm after driving around for a hour but it still fells better than stock, also looks better. I order my from LM Performance because they were having a sale, $185 I believe.

$185? Dang you got lucky. Mine was $210 (including shipping) from www.byunspeed.com. That was the cheapest I could find it.

Search online for custom intakes...

Doesnt seem like it be hard at all, the hardest part will probably be finding the right parts.

Or even this might be easier.....

Actually the Moroso kit is good.... Its about the same as K&N's FIPK cold air kit. Both will pick you up around 8-10 rear wheel HP.

I have an SLP dual cold air setup that I'll sell you for $150 (packaged & shipped)

I also have an Air-Foil and Flowmaster Cat-Bcak for an LT1... And also have a white faced (150mph) gauge cluster for 93-97 Camaro...
drop me an email....

He's got the SLP too ;)

So does a friend of mine, you may have seen on some boards as "12secondv6" (97 firebird, last season's best was a 12.1, that was on 3.23's... hasn't run with the 4.10's and new torque convertor yet)

Yeah, I had already put that block off plate in. I was just taking some quick pics so I could quickly get it installed and go take it out for a test drive. I'm kinda like a kid when it comes to getting new things in. I'll rip open the box, and before you know it, I'm already jumping to install the stuff. The UPS man is like Santa Clause for me.

For the block-off plate what is that for?

blindeyed
06-26-2005, 01:23 AM
It's just a plastic plate that goes above the filters to block any hot air from the engine from getting to the filters. You can kind of see it on my cardomain site. Just click the "www" on the bottom of this post. The pic is at the very bottom on the first page.

yeah rs is right i have the slp too, but right now im buggen how cheap it is now. i payed 250 for mines im pissed!! anyways, u cant go wrong with slp, hell i have alot of their stuff on my car, nice brand. it can give u anywhere between 5-15hp guess it depends on your car and set up. oh and just a tip, if u can get a pc tune i would advise it, that by itself can do wounders. playing around with my hp tuners software i can pretty much do anything to my car like set shift points, take off the speed limiter, adjust air to fuel mixture hell even make your car see that u have upgrades like a coldair intake. alot of people dont know but some upgrades u do to your car, the computer will see it and refigure whats going on and compensate some things to make it run the original way it ran. u can do alot for your car, if u have any ideas ill be more an glad to help u out, im thinking u have a 6...3.4? if its a 3800 or even a ls1 or lt1 i know a few tricks for them as well, helping build other peoples cars for the past yr ive learned alot about theas cars. and im sure everyone in here will help u out too, we are a great group in here.

What tuning program would you recommend? I have a 95 3.4.. and I believe it has an OBDI setup. I've been wanting to tune my computer for a while now. But haven't exactly found a nice and somewhat easy program to use.

In terms of tuning programs, HPTuners > ALL. Their forum should help a lot too if you'r a beginner. The price is steep, but look at it this way, get the hang of it down then start offering your services at tuning, make some $$$ out of it all

And I'll point out for you that the LT1 and 3.4 kits are the same
