I've filed one. I'll have to dig around to find the number.
Why do you ask?

What, are you trying to patent the Skyline in America??? Sounds like another excuse for MotoRex to jack up prices to me. :smoker2:

Gonthrax,
You have a patent? What did you patent? How much did it cost you? Who did you have to go through?

I patented a ratcheting string winder for a guitar. I seem to remember after filing all the papers, all told it cost me around $150 or so. I went called our state capital and asked what to do, they directed me to the US Patent office. I sent them a self addressed, stamped envelope and they sent me all the forms. I just sent in the forms, a blueprint of my winder and some info on it. A few months later I got some paper work back from them, I signed a few things, sent it back and that was it.

Hey Gonthrax,
What is your patent number? I would like to look it up, and read how you wrote it. Thanks
And what does Gonthrax mean?

But, if you do manage to patent a Skyline, let us know how... (;))

Jay,
Just to let you know, you can not patent something that has already been designed.
What Gonthrax said about his patent is strange. It goes a lot deeper than just filling out some forms, and paying $150. I was told that just to get a design patent it would be $350. A design patent really does not do anything for you. I am very curious as to what is writen on Gonthrax's patent.

I have two but they were done by company lawyers at over $5K each --- with all the legalese, drawings, worldwide filings and rebuttals.
