Winter Time Car

I'm currently driving a mustang in the new england area, I just recently moved to worcester, ma. For the winter months I was thinking about buying a bronco or truck or a suv with 4x4 capabilities. Whats the best one i should consider? I have been looking at ford broncos 93-96, as a possible candidate. Any comments or suggestions are greatly accepted.

out here where i live we get more snow than most places and we see 4wd's stuck on the side of the road durign snow storms, and we'll make it through in a rwd mini van, i guess it all depends on how careful you are as a driver, but you would want another car because all the salt they put on the road would carode the mustang. plus with a big truck everyone wants you to help them get out of a ditch every ten minutes.

if its just for a few months a year I'd get a Tracker or Sidekick hardtop.

It is more important to get the right kind of tires. Forget about the wide off-road type tire. Get proper snow tires, which tend to be taller, skinnier with really aggressive tread. Get 4 tires, regardless of whether its 2 wd or 4 wd.

yea actually that is what we do with the minivan i was takling about, we have 2 sets of four rims, summer tires, and winter tires, and the winters usually have studs, but not this year.
