Do you guys know if stores have those type of power tools that can screw/unscrew lug nuts and other stuff for us to buy? We're planning on getting one to make repairs go by faster (yeah, we're getting lazy) and was wondering if they're available? Or is it only available for shops? Which ones are good and which onces should we stay away from? Thanks.

You would be talking about air tools. What you need is an air compressor and then whatever air tools you want. I picked up a 33 gallon with a 6hp motor compressor for 300 and it came with 3 tools at sears. Just about any hardware store will carry them.

hey, i got that same air compressor with the same tools, man that thing is the bomb.

But, a cheaper alternative is to go to harbor freight and buy a 25 inch breaker bar for like 8 bucks, you'll be amazed what kind of bolts you can break off with that thing.

cheeper than that is to go to menards and buy 10ft of pipe, instant breaker bar, and you can cut it shorter if desired. You have missed the point, an 8ft breaker bar does not fit where an impact wrench can go, and will often actually break things that an impact wrench with take off.

auto zone will rent tools to you. not sure if they rent air tools or not, but you can check. if so, then you would just need to find a friend and borrow his air compressor.

i haven't broken anything yet with my breaker bar, and in some instances, it can be very useful.

For example, when i changed out my motor mounts. The rear one, i could not fit my impact down in there, so i was able to break it off with my breaker bar. Also, my side motor mount nuts were on soo tight that my impact wrench couldn't even break them off  but it didnt give any problems for the breaker bar, it broke them right off. Its often good to have the best of both worlds, sometimes its better to have a breaker bar and sometimes its better to have an impact wrench, all depends on what your trying to do.
