1.- Get the Cats out & use bigger diameter pipes as much you can or install headders.
2.- Get MSD Coil Packs and plugs wires (you might need to open the plug's gap a lttle bit)
3.- Chage the throtle body for one like on the lightning truck
4.- Change the Air filter package or don't use at all
5.- NOS it
6.- Change the torque converter (do not know waht to use)
7.- Get the A/C out (If you can hold the heat) I Wouldn't

Dont get rid of the cats. Your engine is tuned to run best with the backpressure they provide. Not to mention that your engine management computer will go nuts trying to figure out the change.
NEVER run a motor without the air filter. (Dirt, even microscopic dirt) will score the bejeezus out of your cylinder walls. Besides, it is proven that a well tuned engine, with a K/n type filter actually moves MORE air than no filter. (Venturi effect from passing through the filter medium, air is smoothed out)
Just changing out the throttle body is not enough. You would also have to change the MAF unit, and use a different chip.
I'm not sure at the moment, but I think the 92 has a serpentine belt that also drives the compressor. My wife's 92 is at work, so I can't verify. You would have to do serious pully and belt changes to get it eliminated.
Hope this helps
