I'm not sure about the trany, dose your truck currently have an auto or manual? I do know that if you have an auto now, and want to go to a manual, you'll have to get a new computer.
as far as turbo charging, you might want to check out http://www.ststurbo.com/products to see if they have anything for your application. or, you could look into a supercharger, which may end up actuailly being easier to hook up than a turbo.

For what it's worth you might as well just trade it for a truck with that setup already.

well, turbo's and superchargers both do the same thing (force more air into the cylinders), but the difference is how they are driven. turbos use exhaust flow to spin the compressor, and superchargers are belt driven. also, if you want it mounted under the hood, a turbo will require exhaust modification, and in most cases require an intercooler (sp) to keep the intake air temps low enough to not cause detonation. superchargers (depending on the amount of boost may not "need" an intercooler, and are mounted on a bracket on the front of the engine.
you might want to check out www.dtwtrucks.com and www.pavementsucks.com just use their "search" options, I'm sure that you can find a lot more info than I can give you.
