My nissan Max 2001 se squeals on rainy days only (believe it or not). If the weather stays dry for a couple of days, the squealing noise stops. I am pretty sure that the squealing noise is coming from a belt, but if the belt is no good, shouldn't it always squeal regardless of the weather. Apreciate any advice...thanks

If your belts are noisy, why not tighten 'em? Wait till tow truck-taxi appears, gaskets blow? No car runs wihout maintenance, check out. Look up from the maint manual and do the things it suggests; see for links on my page.
Buy all new belts -now-, replace and keep 'em properly tightened.

My belt used to squeal on start up, humid days, and under a load. I had a Gatorback and it was shit. I replaced it with an OEM belt and all is fine. As said before, Check to see if its tight enough first, then go from there.
