Well i currently have a 95 eclipse GS-T and im thinking of getting rid of it for a wrx. i have a couple of questions about subarus to help me out.

1. Is there a certain year wrx that is better than the others? (like a 1g dsm is better than a 2g type of thing?

2. Can you get stage upgrades from the manufactor like the srt-4's can at a dodge dealer?

3. I see many wrx's with Cobb and Perrin performance parts. How do these parts stack up against like Blitz, Hks, etc?

4. Did they ever make a 6speed wrx besides the STI? ive seen a couple of auto classified magazines listing this but i dont know if it is an error or not.

5. What other sites besides clubwrx.net and wrxtuners.com can i find wrx's for sale. (besides the usual autotrader and soforth)

Also just want to get feedback about how people like there wrx's. I love my eclipse but i have put in so much money just to keep it running that im ready to purchase another vehicle. Thanks for the help guys!!

5. NASIOC.com (http://www.nasioc.com/) is probably worth looking at.

1. They're all basically the same performance wise (well 2002+)

2. You can get staged upgrades from several different companies such as TurboXS, Cobb, Vishnu
(but no not manufacturer like dodge can)

3. The difference is Cobb and Perrin you can kinda say that they "specialize" in subbie parts, while HKS and Blitz are more generalized

4. To my knowledge all USDM wrx's are 5pd stock (or 4eat)

If you can, get one of the old box head light WRXs (actually, dunno if they ever shipped to USA). But yeah, that generation doesn't need as much ECU tuning as the newer ones, i.e. bug eyed and current. So those older ones, you could add a full TBE and get quite a bit of power. But with the new WRXs, if you don't complement your mods with ECU tuning it doesn't add much power at all.

I love my rex. It's so damn stable on pretty much all road conditions and there's tonnes of power to be unlocked.
