My M3 model in 1/24 scale. ( All go no show model )
In the engine are new things : I had made new intercooler instead old radiator, cone air filter, Nos. In the pipeline are turbo and exhaust.
In interior I add Nos gauge and one Sparco seat. On the body I had put on some decals and that all.

30 minutes and all homemade turbo is ready and on the engine.
Making the turbo is easy ( max. 5 minutes ) but put it on engine is harder.

Now I calculate this car hp's. Original engine have 333 hp and final result what I got is 534 hp ( Nos, turbo, cone air filter, sport exhaust ). But I put all parts hp circa.
And I still wait yellow paint ( I can't find right tone ) then I can paint spoiler and then car is almoust ready.

And today I bought Ford Escort Rs Cosworth ( 1/24 too ).
I will do that accurately same like M3 ( same decals in same places, same things in engine and so )

looks more like all show no go.... well until you open the hood but its still looks like its got a wide body kit

All show because it have widebody ? What I have to do when its in stock. But everybody have you own opinion.
To get more air I put only little peg there what nondirectional air in engine room. ( actually in this place have to be cone air filter ).

visible33
06-28-2005, 04:57 AM
For making Nos I use resistor what I paint blue, then I use nail and for hose I use orange wire. Simple. ;)

Very nice, I have the same model. It's a nice little piece to modify, but I found one mistake you made. I'm not trying to bomb your work, just a little constructive criticism. Since your M3 is of the E36 generation with the 3.2 inline six, the horsepower is rated at 240. So your actual hp will be around the neighborhood of 441. Like I said before Im not smashing your work. Great job on the model! :grinno:

Well, someone has to say it, because I really dont want you going around with all your models and plumbing them out wrong, so here it is, you kinda messed up, so here's my "How to: Turbocharge an Engine" tutorial link, please look at it, and I hope it helps. Great work though, love how you use whatever you get your hands on. Keep it up. :D
Turbo Tutorial.

I don't think so, but tell what do you think what is wrong ?

The Filter is supposed to come from the turbo, and the turbo itself isnt attached to the exhaust. So, you could keep it the way it is, or do it the right way. No offense, just letting you know. :D
