2000 GTP purchased new. No problems. Except when the dealer flushed the trans at 50k and at 52k it died and they replaced it under warranty. Oh, and my radiator cap was loose one time and coolant leaked out all over. :screwy:

99GT had to replace the MAF sensor,
The digi read out on the radio looks Japanese once in a while but then goes back to normal.

95 with 1/2 a mil on it never had any major problems but just before it was put to sleep I was getting one electrical problem after another.
Other than that I got my moneys worth out of that one.

I had an '84 Datsun/Nissan 300ZX Turbo 20 years ago and whenever the DIC crapped out the display looked Japanese too.....lol. :lol2:

Wylie, on the 95 is that 1/2 a mile or 1/2 million??

Assuming thats in klicks (tough one) thats approximately 300K miles. Amazing! May it rest in peace. :bigthumb:

Accually it was over 1/2 million and the funny thing was the day it went to the grave yard I hammered the hell out of it just to see if it would brake. blu a little bit of black smoke but was still running like a carm when I pulled in the drive way.

Those 3.1s sure took a beating.

What problems has everyone had with their 3800 GP's?

SE 3800 bought used at 79k miles, has 87k now. belts, filters, wiper bolt came loose during rainstorm (that was fun), driver's side window button broke so i replaced module, light on steering wheel control went out - put new LED in, radio shows japanese/jiberish every now and then, other than that nothing..but my biggest problem was that the GTP i wanted would have raised my insurance by like 2 grand =( :crying:

Thats the same reason I don't own a P insurance has got to be the biggest scam going.

My ex landlord worked for an insurance company he was worth 50 million
and lived in 15,000 sq ft house.
He said he'd been in insurance all his life, what a joke.

Ya man, I drive two hours a day all country roads it racks up the miles pretty fast, now that I think about it I should have taken a pic. I'm pretty fusy about changing fluids i'm sure that helps.

My 99GT is just turning 200,000 k.

99 Grand Prix GT 3.8L 85,000 miles
Front calipers and rotors because the caliper piston siezed and held the brake pad against the rotor
Replaced blower motor resistor and ignition switch harness (Both for the fan issue)
Driver's Side mirror (Broke off out in the desert after leaving Vegas)
MAF sensor ???

Here's my list on my 99 GTP w/ 110k
-MAF
-Both O2 Sensors
-Cat Convertor (doing that this Friday)
-Blower motor twice (leak in the windshield did that)
-normal stuff, tires, brakes, wire, plugs, tie rods, ball bearing, ect....

Car grades out at a B+ IMO, know with higher mileage we shall see... I've been looking at a 2002 GT w/40k on it, might go with it... if I can get the dealer to lower price to 11k

2001 GPGT bought new in fall of 2001 and has 48,000 miles. The car had had not a single problem prior to 3-yr/36K warranty. Then since last winter/this year:

Blowing/sucking noise from engine (undetermined...)
Blower motor resistor (replaced with Autozone part)
Fuel/temperature gauges doesn't return to empty/zero when car is shut down
Front passenger tire (slow leak and replaced both front tires with BFGoodrich)
Passenger-side window motor (failed but then worked again)
Clogged catalytic convertor (covered by California Emmission Warranty)
