Were is the fuel pump located

can some won tell how i locate the fuel pump on a mark 4 xr3i ford escort many thanks

Should be simple enough to start at the intake manifold and follow the fuel lines backwards... if you don't find anything then perhaps it is in the tank.

Thanks for your interest in this problem iam a bit confused on your second to last thread you said the fuel pump was on the passenger side
then you said it could be in the tank do you know which one it is.

most likely your fuel pump is under the hood. Following the fuel lines backward from the engine you should find the fuel filter and one other thing... that thing should be the pump. Where it is exactly, for this specific car... I dunno... but you should be able to track it down.
