I Have A 91 DX 1.5 Sedan And Have Had some issue's with the idle .so i removed the iacv cleaned it out, reset the ECU and it still revs up when fully warm out or after 15-20 min of driving.now it has only surged 3 or 4 times meaning UP & DOWN . it more revs automatically and the only way to bring it down is to put my foot under ACCEL & LIFT the PEDAL UP.
I also have no CEL on dah but on ECU I get A 3,7,14,15
I have also pulled the iacv and it brung the idle down,THREW A CEL.but one time it didnt do anyhing.
also i have checked for vac.leaks and nothing so far.
any suggestions on what i could of forgot
oh yeah tps unplugged made no changes
thanks

If pulling the pedal helps, double check or idle screw and the throttle cable - the throttle cable maybe too tight and not letting it go back to idle.

thanks for the help, I was thinking the same thing but doubted myself.looks like all the vaacum hose's have been changed not that long ago.so i am assuming last summer the previous owner had similar problems.

i agree with 4g4d, sounds like the throttle cable is too tight, or its binding. look to see if theres a kink in the cable anywhere

I had the same problem with my CRX dx, so I prayed the throttle cable at the trottle body and it went away, I wasn't getting any codes though, it was only the throttle cable

WAIT! mine started doing it again, not as bad though. I shouldn't have said anything. I guess I am going to have to actually do something with it too.

I had a similar prob with my stock motor where the throttle pedal wouldnt go all the way up. I ended up figuring out that the spring on the throttle body got weak, I just removed it and trimmed about 1/2" or so off it, bent the end so it would hook to the body and it worked. It made the pedal come all the way up so I didn't have to pull it up with my foot. I hope that makes some sense
