1965 MGB carpet

I am new at this, so bare with me. I have purchased Moss's Deluxe carpet set for my MGB. My question is the section over the sills. Do you glue it down? Do you trim off the excess at the break at the floor?
I got no instructions and my MGB came without carpet, so I didn't get to see how the original was done. Any help would be appreciated.

I used 3M spray adhesive to glue the carpet on the sills down.
No need to cut. The floor pieces will overlap and cover the edge. Side panels will cover top edge. Don't glue the floor pieces.
