Being the putz that I am, I forgot to remove my spare set of keys from my pants before I washed them. I found them in the bottom of the dryer, and was really upset. I guess they managed to hide when i moved the laundry into the dryer.
So i took it apart and let it was dry, but I let it air dry for a day for safetys sake. I reassembled it, and it worked just fine. And it's a lot cleaner not too.
It's a little weird to think it survived. something could have poked a button while the laundry was tumbling and whatnot, and shorted it out in the water. Then the heat of the dryer could ahve gotten to it also, but it was pretty tough.
My keyless entry transmitter is just as tough as my truck!

I have a 20 month old grandaughter that likes to push the panic button on my daughter's S-10 Blazer. Kinda makes me wonder what your reaction may have been if your alarm would have went off while your fob was in the dryer.

I would hav e probably posted here, asking what could cause such an occurance, then realizing I left it in the dryer, I would probably be too ashamed to tell you all, and I would make something up like:
"The capicitor shorted out causeing the VATS to trip the alarm. Replaced the capacitor, problem solved"
But yeah, the panic button is fun, especially when theres someone LEANING on my truck. Hit the panic button, and they get off it awful quick.
