Should i turbo or go with the more expensive Supercharger?
This is for racing so a supercharger would get me off the line way faster ever tho im pushing out 460 torque or go with turbo for longer street racing?

is this going in the 71 camaro?

i would probably say turbo as long as you have space and sufficient cooling system. Superchargers apparently have a pretty limited amount of boost because their rpm is dependent on engine rpm. plus you can rev to 5000-6000rpm on the line to get the turbo pressure up and then run max boost all the way down the track assuming your driveline is in order.

My knowledge of force induction is limited though. But nice setup. Sounds like slicks and wheelie bar is in order.

I dont need wheelie bars on it yet because no cops know what it runs and its a classic so no inspections. It doesnt jump bad the front tires dont hop off the ground cause i never floor it off the line. But thnx for the reply.

well you said its for the races, so you might want heavy throttle off the line... and you want to add a charger... that will defintely get the wheels off the ground. If you want to win... bars and slicks are coming your way. :)

turbochargers have been superior to superchargers for several years now, if you are serious about max speed, go turbo, a complete system made by someone who knows what they are doing will get you off the line faster, and provide more averate torque than a supercharger. Although centrifical superchargers have been known to make more peak hp than turbos, the hp curve is very peaky, rather than flat like a turbos curve is. For all practical purposes roots style superchargers are dead and buried.

although i have a question, when you talked about bustin your buddies balls in the prelude, you said you had like 537hp, here you are saying you have only 485hp, are you talking about two different engines??? im confused.
