transmission question...

When i'm driving it seems to jerk into gear at about 15-20 mph and 25-35.IS it time for transmission fuild change ? I'm taking it to the dealer ship thursday what kind of question should i ask them.It has 84,000 miles on it,don't know if/when the transmission fuild got change.Bought it at 66,000 miles.No i don't tow and it's a 1500 2002 silverado.

Well the 2000 manual says to change the tranny fluid at 100Kmiles for light to regular use, and 50K for moderate to heavy use (dust, towing, hills, ect...) So it could be time to change, but I'm not sure if that is your problem. Hopefully, someone else can help you more than I.

according to my repair manual ( 99-02) it suggests to replace fluid and filter every 30k miles or 30 months. since you bought it used i would definitely would change them.
