The 360 Magnum engine is a Chrysler "LA" block (originally designed in the mid-1960's). It is completely different from your AMC engine and will not fit your car, unless you make extensive custom engine mounts wiring driveshaft etc and use a Chrysler trans.
Your 360 is an AMC block originally designed by Nash in the mid-50's. (Nash and Hudson joined to form AMC in 1954).
IMHO rebuild your 360, or look for an AMC 390 or 401 which will bolt right in.

Rebuild it. Put in some higher-compression pistons, a good cam, and a 4-barrel and intake and have some fun whuppin' up on about anything around, that's a strong motor once the compression is up and it's fed properly :)
