Alright teg owners, I need to know about some insurance rates here. I know getting a gsr is screaming in the back of my head but I've been told the ls is not to shabby on pep. So does an ls have lower insurance than a gsr? I guess you can say insurance will play a role in in my purchase here soon. Also, does the 4-door have cheaper insurance than the coupe? Oh and one last question. Is the insurance on the integra itself higher than, say, a celica or prelude or is it lower?

Yes, it will be cheeper haveing an LS. Also are you gonna get comp/coll? This is what I do for a living.

Just go get the GSR....you know you want one. In the end, you would probably be happier w/ the GSR anyway. There is probably a big price difference between the LS and the GSR, but if i had to do it over again, i would still buy my GSR!! I only pay $52 per month for full coverage (based on $11000 resale vallue) on my GSR and i'm only 18. If you still are under your parents' insurance, it shouldn't be too bad.

I have an 97 LS with minimum coverage(25/50/15L) and I'm paying 165 a month. I'm also 18 and I live in CO. What insurance company are you going through to get 52?

IDK how much more GSR insurance is compared to LS, but preludes and celicas insurance is more im pretty sure of that.

I have State Farm....my parents have their house, lake house, 3 cars, our boat, and carry life insurance through State Farm. We get a large discount for all of that and since we live in North Dakota, the rates are already cheaper. I am also insured under my GSR as my 2nd car....my primary car is actually my little brothers car now. IDK if that really affects anything, but that's how it's set up.

if you have more cars than eligible drivers, then the insurance for the extra cars will be WAY cheaper

I've got an LS 4 door and the insurance is $48/month. If it helps you to know, I'm 26 (which gives me a better rate) and I live in Chicago (which gives me a higher rate). The difference in HP, according to Acura, between the LS and GSR is about 20. Honestly, the LS is great and peppy. Statistically, it's faster than a 325i and a late 80s 944. I'm not racing the thing, I just want it to be fun. And it is.

It's all about where you live. FL as the second highest rates next to NJ.
