Coolant level light on??

Over last week while traveling, my coolant level light came on. My colant level is fine, but the light comes on then off. I noticed this on very hot days. Any ideas why???? Thanks, Ron

Mine did this too - it came on after an hour of driving on a hot day with the a/c on.....my level was fine, too. I added some coolant just to be safe, but it started to heat up. I got on the freeway and it seemed to be fine. (I was in low gear). The light was still on, though. I parked it, and when I got off of work, everything was fine. I DID replace the radiator cap, just to be safe.

I'd like to know about this myself. I haven't had a problem with it again, but just wait till august!
So yeah....what's up with it?

your coolant level temp sensor is going bad mine did the same crap i replaced temp switch,radiator cap but my coolant was always full and the light flickered for awhile then remained lit
