Soccer mom almost killed me in drive thru

I'm in the McDonalds drive thru the other day getting my regular #2 Meal (2 cheesburgers, fries and a Hi-C). In front of me is the obviously bitch soccer mom in her new Ford Windstar. I could tell she was bitchy because she sped up to cut me off reaching the drive-thru in the 1st place, her hair was messed up like she styled it that way and she was wearing big ole coke bottle shades. Anyhow once she starts placing the order I knew there would be problems; the person taking the order barely spoke English, the soccer mom was talking a mile a minute AND she had about 4 orders that where "special orders". Like she's ask for fries - no salt, hamburger - no pickles, etc. etc. Basically a nightmare of an order. I'm sitting right behind her wondering why the hell she didn't just go in the damn McDonalds and place the order. My guess is that because she had a shitload of kids (ages 5,6,7, etc - all 9 months apart probably) she was scared they'd tear up the place. ...
Anyhow the drive thru person finally totals it all up and the Windstar goes forward to the pay window, then onto the pick-up window. The woman picks up all 6 or 7 of her bags and pulls off. LUCKILY I don't pull forward right away to the pick-up window. 'Cause right as this BIOTCH was 2 car lengths ahead of the pick-up window she slams the Windstar in reverse and attempts to backup to the window!!! She almost scrapes off her paint on the McDonalds building! It was incredible. She kept going forward and backing up trying to get lined up right. I had to sit there and watch this. Finally she just guns it and damn near smashes into me. With all the kids in the backseat standing up I don't even think she saw me. Un-be-fuckin-lievable!!
Needless to say they messed up her order and she got it fixed...but sheesh! She didn't even look back at me once to say thank you or apologize for almost creaming me - she just gunned off to the PTA meeting or wherever she was headed.
A bonafide asshole!

Yeah you lucky that you didn't pull forward, now when i've got people infront of me in drive thrus I'll think twice before pulling forward. But this is when it would be nice if you owned a shitbox car, then u wouldn't care if someone hit you!!

Ah the same thing happened to me back in February, I was driving Jim's Peugeot through the drive-thru at the Macca's in Glen Innes and some prick in a Pajero, overshot the pick up window, the cunt failed to notice me edging forward to the pay window and almost drives right over me, needless to say I got out and told the barstard to think before he acts. Needless to say I now go to Subway or BK when I need a feed.
Still even if she did hit you, I doubt it would have killed you..............Unless you were behind the wheel of a Yugo

I don't know who's worse the "Soccer Moms" in the minivans or the ones in the SUV'S!

The soccer mums in the SUV's, or 4wheel drives (as our country calls them) are the worse.
For example the SUV driver will run over the other cars and children and not even notice, as their bonnet sticks out so much, and they are in such a big car.
The ones in the vans, normally see if they run someone over.
I hate these kind of drivers, they always get in the way, and do the dumbest things!!! arrgh!!

Yes those damn 4wd drive lights.
I'm sitting there in my little Civic Hatch, whilst their Halogens beam down into all three of my mirrors. Even with your rearview mirror adjusted for night driving, the wing mirrors still reflect it all back.
Ford Explorers are bloodly terrible for one thing (including rolling over :p ), is that their indicators are above the headlights. So that they fill your entire car with alternating flashing light, when they are behind you at an intersection.
My views are that to drive a Suv, the driver should require another licence!!!

Yeah it does, you must require further driver training aka. A special license to drive a 4WD, because of the higher center of Gravity and more powerful and torquey engines make it different from driving a car or mini-van (Or an MPV as we call it here)
Also I have no problem with Mini-vans, if you have a lot of kids to cart around, this is the best way to do it. Some MPV's are shit, these are usually the American made Ventures, Montana's, Voyager's and Windstars. But the Japanese and European ones like the Renault Espace, Honda Oddysey, Toyota Previa, VW Sharan, Kia Carnival, Hyundai Trajet, Ford Galaxy and Mitsubishi Nimbus are pretty damn-impressive and all bar the Galaxy and Sharan can be found here in NZ for about US$15,000 with the Sharan at about $25k and the Galaxy not available at all.................................Makes me wonder why people waste money on 4WD's

Because being surrounded by all that mass makes them feel "safe".
This is a total myth:
#1. High weight and a high center of gravity means that the SUV is much less adept at
accident avoidance maneuvers, which of course is the best means of preventing injury.
#2. The NHSTA (the highway crash statistics agency) registers higher instance and
severity of injury among SUVs than comparable size cars. Insurance companies are
starting to catch on and are raising rates on SUV owners.
#3. SUVs are statistically far more likely to roll over than cars are.
#4. The stopping distances of these porkers are lengthened by their excessive weight and
primitive brakes.
Not to mention that if innocent 'lil me gets in an accident with one, I have a 3x greater chance of dying. Why? Because an SUV's bumper is so high up, it bypasses all the safety "crumple zones" and other such features that my car comes with. Thank goodnes for airbags.

Finally some people who agree with my views against SUVs/4wds.
On the note of MPV's, i had one overtake me on the left (thats the wrong side in nz, its not illegal tho'), whilst I was going 60-65 in a 50zone.
I came up to some traffic lights, in the right lane as of the petrol station on the left, and this MPV flies past me with what it looked like, was the children weren't even buckled in!
I can't believe people drive their children around like this.
But normally I don't have a problem with MPV's, alot of familys need something that size.

Yeah, no matter how good the car, there is always likely to be a tosser behind the wheel

Well to add to this I was almost run off the road again today. Right as im pulling out of work a lady in a minivan decided she was gonna turn onto the street in front of me and cut over 3 lanes to reach a turn lane. The messed up thing is she saw me coming and she looked right at me and proceeded to come into my lane right into me. I had to hit the gas and swerve into the turn lane to my left to avoid the moron!:flipa:

Why would I? I hate them. That would make about as much sense as buying some mushrooms 'cause I hate them too.

see the problem is SUV's aren't SUV's anymore they are just another car 20 years ago an SUV was somthing you drove in the snow or off road like they were ment to now they are nothing more than a jacked up car with tons of crome, heated leather power seats, 10 disc CD players, and tons of other useless shit. plus they're all super fucking expensive and they are dangerous as hell cause they are tall (easy to roll) and heavy (hard to slow down) cause they weren't designed for the street but cause were all stupid we now have millions of these huge assed death mobiles driving around piloted by some cell phone babbling soccer mommy or some jack ass yuppie wannabee buisness man on his fucking cell with his iced latte paying no god damn attention to the road out risking my life cause he's a fucking dumb ass. but cell phones are a different story that I'll take to a new post.

I don't have anything against you - because the height of your vehicle is necessary for the utility. It's the 87% of SUV owners who admitted in an independent survey that they've never taken their SUV off-road that I'm mad at.

Yeah, im with ya there. Otherwise they're gas guzzling killin machines. *I* cant stand most of the SUV people either. Especially the ones that have SUV's that CAN take it, but they still slow them down to 10 mph to drive over a tiny speedbump. Or a certain bridge in my city, that's comprised of only bumps. When i go over it, im bouncing, skipping and sqeualin all voer the raod, and leave everyone in the dust. But god forsake you hurting your expedition! or excursion!!
the worst "SUV" in my mind is the lincoln navigator. That thing weights 7200 pounds!! WTF does ANYONE need that for?! You definetly cant go offroad in that, cause you'll sink in anyhting softer than cold asphalt!! my god people!!
On a different note - Im saving up for an eventual Hummer, ex military, So then i can make fun of ALL SUV'ers. hehe.
