OK I am posting again about my tranny. Its a quick question. I think my tansfer case locked up, but can it just unlock? My tires locked up on the highway doing 75. It still rolls but like I said in another post it feels like the clutch is slipping when its in gear and it makes a grinding noise. I jacked up the car and when I rotate the back tire/s, the fronts rotate too like there supposed too. If my transfer case had locked up or I broke something inside it the wheels would not spin freely and smoothly like they do, would they? There is no grinding noise when I rotate the wheels or anything so I dont know.

Also real quick. If it did lock, there is a recall on them. Who do I take it to get the new t-case?

The tcase is probably the problem. This has happened to many poeple (Some didnt survive). I think its likely enough to be the tcase that you should tow it to a dealer and tell them the story. They should replace it under recall. If they try to tell you that the seal was already replaced "under recall" fight that to the end. Its the number one trick they use to get out of this. The NTSB/NHSA requires them to cover all SAFETY recalls. They need to replace the entire tcase, AND the yoke on the driveshaft that is also part of the recall. IF they dont change this, it will still leak and eventually lockup, and the worn yoke will also damage the sleeve on the new tcase. They have to both be replaced at the same time.
Hope that helps. Good luck with it.
