Hey all i was wondering if i can gret away without recircing my bov. I ask because iam looking at getting a greddy type rs bov mainly because it fits my budget better and from what ive read it cant be recirced. so i was wondering if i could use this bov with atmo dump and just run anti engine stall on my emanage?
I under stand this might work up to a certian psi without the need of emange engine stall?

from what other guys have tried, it doesnt work out too well with the anti-stall function with the emanage. it still stalls. you can get away with it, but you will have idling problems and will stall when stopped at a red light.
you can, however, switch your MAS to a blow-thru design(i cant believe i am saying this). its the way that the SDS is setup. its not the most effecient way, but it will allow you to vent the BOV to the atmosphere

Just bite the bullet and recirculate the air. If you Dump it into the atmosphere just b/c of budget, or you want the PSHHH sound, you are rigging your setup. It will get so annoying having those stalling problems just b/c you wanted the PSHHH when u shifted. We have MAF, therefore we cant vent into atmosphere without idle issues. Just my :2cents:

thanks forthe help i am not really concerned abotu the bov sound but it would be nice for a little bling factor. I have heard about the sds blowthrough and they say the MAF can take the pressure applied to a certian psi? if someone could point me in the direction of where to find how todo this it would be great. i would like to view both sides of this issue either recircing it or using the MAF blow through.

here is information on how to turn yours into a blow-thru. just want to reiterate that this will work but its not the most effecient way to do it.
you will see the arguement in this thread..

yo syn, if you use a suck through mas with the emanage you will get a more accurate and consistant tune. if you were wondering about the blow through design, it causes more stalls during stops and will hold up to around 15 lbs before the honeycomb inside crumbles. if you had a cold air intake system on your car before the sds, you can cut the pipes to transform everything over. you can even use the same couplers:

alright thanks for the help i have read that post on club3g before i just forgot about it. Right now i think i am going to go with the recirc on a type-s found one going for $99 new so i cant really go wrong. one last question though its going to sound a bit ricer but will i ever be able to here my bov make that special sound? i only ask because it would remind me of all the damn hard work i did to be able to get all this stuff bought and working.

also dumping into the atmosphere would keep me from passing emissions correct?

a recir BOV makes a girgling sound(best way to describe it). people will be wondering what it is.
i dont have the slightest clue about emissions
and the MAS will hold up to about 25psi before the honeycomb crumbles using the blow-through. ask Kc2Buk on club3g

uhhh...i don't know anyone with a gurgling BOV, they all seem to make the same straight pssshaw noise... if a Bov isn't on correctly, or your not tuned corretly, the bov may flutter, but that isn't good for your car, even though it sounds cool

an atmospheric BOV will make the psss sound. a recir BOV doesnt make the same sound
