I own a 2000 1500 Silverado and my Low Coolant Light came on so I checked the coolant but it was ok but I did add some Anti-Freeze to a little above the "Full Cold Mark" but the light still stays on.
Any Help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You

The sensor inside the coolant resevoir sits up pretty high, fill it up. I bought my truck used and that was the first SES light. Fill that resevoir to about half way between the marks and it will go away.

That must be a very common problem with alot of these Silverado's. Mine comes on 2 or 3 times a week, then it will just go off, come back on, go off.............. I'm not low, I'm right up there with the marker. My buddy has a 2000 Silverado and his does the same thing.

Co-worker went ahead and replaced his resevoir and filled it up to the same spot at the fill line. Light came on and then he figured out that he needed more fluid. Don't be afraid to get it up a bit, cheaper than the new resevoir. Look on the engine side/fire all side of the resevoir and you will see the sensor stuck upside down in the bottom of the tank. If the fluid splashes you will get the light.
Since I filled mine that first time I have not had to fill it again.
