My wifes 99 DX was almost stolen. Must have been amateur night here in San Diego. Anyways, they chewed up the ignition cylinder, maybe broke the column loose. I can afford to pay to get it done, so i ordered an ignition with key already. Reading the Chilton, and it looks hard so far. I can ao everything except it says the key has to be inside the cylinder and the gear must be nuetral. Anyway around some of these steps, anyone done this before?
thanks

why would need to stick in a new ignition, when you have the ignition pulled off already. all you need at that point is a flat screwdriver.

ur buddies stole that acura the hard way...all u need to steal a honda is a phillips screwdriver and a prybar...but im surprised your new lock cyl. didn't come with instructions...but the important step is to have the key in the ign. when u put it in so it doesn't get locked in the wrong position...and in neutral because theirs a safety feature to prevent the igniton to be properly removed in park...
