Ok, I have determined that my air conditioner leaks just as the lines are going into the firewall on my 96 cavy. problem is i cant get the lines loose to see if there are "O" rings in there that i might need to replace, so instead of wasting my time i decided to ask you guys. Are there any O rings there? if so, HOW DO I GET THE DAMN CONNECTORS OFF??

YES THERE ARE O-RINGS, and the first thing you need to be sure to do is properly discharge the system because it is under high pressure, and if your system is the old R-12 powered system and not the new R-134 system you will need to have a shop equiped to handle R-12 since it is ILLEGAL to vent R-12 directly into the atmosphere (CFCS). Once you do that the fittings should come of with a metric wrench or an adjustable wrench (not sure of the exact size). Once you replace the O-ring be sure to lubricate them with A/C refrigerant oil.
