Squeaking under acceleration

I have a 1988 Daihatsu Charade with a 1L engine.

During acceleration, especially on hill starts it squeaks while moving off, after changing into gear.

Is there something that may need tightening? What might it be?

You mean the drivebelt? It might need a new one.
