vert doors

So, this is just a thought, I haven't decided if I wanna splurge for vert door kit. But are our doors even light enough for those kits? And if anyone in here has em, please show some pics, I wanna see how it looks. Thanks guys/gals

The only true bolt on vertical door kit is available from deftracing.com I beleive is the site. All other kits like decah and verticaldoors.com require lots of fabrication. I have personally seen 2 3s's with the vls system and it looks very nice.

I think www.andysautosport.com also carries them

If vert doors = lambo style doors....StealthModifier just got them put on.

Yea, i just got mine on. Mine is from verticaldoors an it took a lot of modification to get them to fit. Theres a pic in my sig of what it looks like now. but when i finish it in about a week ill post the final pics. these doors a real heavy but my kit is very strong... all i do is pull the door out an it could pull itself up very fast. and putting it down takes force, they are some strong shocks.

damn, I can just picture that on my car, and I think it would be freakin awesome, and I'm gonna do it I just don't know when yet, and I wanna make sure that I get the right stuff first without having to waste a lot of time and money. :2cents:

Stealthmodifier--> did you order the Universal Kit from Verticaldoors? i saw they don't carry a kit for the 3S.

I believe the kit from deftracing.com runs $1500 plus shipping...and they say it is bolt on for the most part, I think you just have to make one fabrication change to the fender.

You dont even have to do that anymore. The first batch of kits that came out yes you did but since then it no longer has to be done if I read it right.

Um, WTF were you thinking?? You paid $1600 for a vert door kit that required A LOT of modification when you could have gotten a bolt on affair for the same price:confused. Not bashing just wondering.

i had a guy put them on, an he said the only kit he would do, since its the only one he would warranty, would be the vertical door kit. i told him bout the vls one an he didnt want to go that route. plus i like the way my doors go straight up, vs. almost straight out with the vls kit. btw, if u read the thread on 3si bout my doors, the guy did a shitty job on them,an my car has been in the garage for the past 2 weeks gettin it right.. had it right in a weekend, but ive been painting the door jambs an around the engine bay, as well as filling in holes an stuff.

I must have missed that thread. Weird though since I am constantly on 3si. Hopefully you get the issues worked out.
