I'v seen people ride stock ones on 3" drop for couple years with no problems. Has alot to do with your area and driving conditions and stuff. Dont skimp out on suspension, and spelling mistakes on the topic make you look like a monkey fuck.

Don't do it, you car will ride like shit and the struts will only last a short time. Most of the time you don't feel a strut going bad because it gradually goes bad.

Take it from some one who knows suspension.

best to do the suspension right the first time instead of half assing it the first time around. No offense but,You'll end up replacing those stock struts that are probably already worn out. If you're on a budget, look into Tokico blues. You can get a spring/strut kit for around 300.00 plus shipping. Add installation (unless you have the know how) and an alignment (consider a camber kit as well) and you'll have a proper suspension for daily driving as well as "spirited" driving. You also won't go broke and will minimize you car's downtime.

If you put it in yourself take your time and make sure you do it right because i know a guy that just put new shocks/springs in his integra, he put the washers and bushings on in the wrong order. It held together for a while, but then he hit a bump and the rod of the shock shot through hs hood. Just thought that was something worth mentioning.
