Yeah, some had a moonroof, but GM did offer the ultra-rare retractable top option. This was RPO z480.

Look at the Tahoe and Yukons, they have had them factory installed for a while. Saw a Horsepower show that put an aftermarket power retractable soft top on an extended cab Sierra, sweet look and nice open air.

Both Ford F150s and Harley's have had nice power sunroofs for the last 5 years at least as a standard option or part of a package - they also offered a power rear window option which was also very nice in the extended cabs and crew cabs. Nissan Titan's came with power sunroofs as an option since model 2004. Silverados - to my knowledge were not available with a factory power sunroof in any normal option format - until the new 2005 year. I tried everything to find one for my purchase choices in 2004 - not made. Also - Ford's of all kinds for 10 years have had keyless entry as an option or part of a package (not remote entry - but keyless entry). I absolutely love that option - but it was not available in any format on Silverado's. To my knowledge - it still is not in 2005.
If you've never had these two options before - you probably don't understand what a difference they make - I didn't until I had them. If you have had them before in other vehciles - its frustrating that these are not available on Silverados. Friends have asked me why I liked keyless entry so well. There are at least 3 really frequent reasons - don't need a key to open the vehicle - I used it at least 7 or 8 times a week. Wife or companion can meet you back at the vehicle - without a key - used this at least three times a week every week. Can open the door after you lock the keys in - whether warming up the vehicle in the winter - or forgetfullness - averaged 4 or 5 times a week.

keyless entry is the kind with the buttons on the door right???? I dont need it just leave your car door unlocked thats keyless entry for me anyway what the heck is "RPO z480" never heard of it and I think I remember seeing a serria redwood edition that had one (I think) I thought you guys might have know about it and I have flipped through a few autotraders and looked on-line and have not seen an f 150 with a sunroof... nope sorry its too bad that the silverado does not have one how much would it cost to get one??? the aftermarket way or the do it yourself way ??
