2004 boost controller

I am just getting into the world of aftermarket parts. I have a 2004 GTI 1.8t. I want to start by putting a boost controller on it and i was wondering what brand/s you guys would reccommend. also, what psi is it running right now and what do you think i could get it up to without detonation...

i would recomend a chip they up your boost for u

Boost controller is for after all mods... dont put one on before all the basic bolt ons and upgraded fuel system..

More boost and same fuel = bad

should be running around 9 lbs stock.
