serious sponsorships.. or even partial sponsorships are difficult to come by...
you have to have your tib pretty heavily modded, spending alot of your own mney on everything, and spending alot of time at shows.. and have decals/ stickers on your tib...
you have to write up a serious proposal and send them into companies...
explaining what you have done.. will do.. and want to do with/ to your car.. what your goals are... blah blah blah
how you can help their company get their products exposure.. etc etc

If school takes up too much time, then most sponsors won't give you their time. You pretty much become their bitch as long as they have use for you. I was looking into sponsorship, and the majority of the ones I that looked promising, required some type of pre payment to set up an account with them. Now I could be wrong, but a true sponsorship pays for you to wear their stuff, not the other way around.

Not to mention sponsors don't like to see their investments out cruising the streets on a Friday or Saturday nite. They don't want their investments getting beat up, and they certainly aren't going to spend money for you to drive around or go out for a nite and miss a show.

Yes but those companies are using experienced drivers to do the scenes, and they alot of them enjoy the underground hardcore scene as opposed to something like HIN, where it's all show no go. Alot of JDM companies no one ever hears of are this way. The best parts are made and sold by companies that most people never hear of until they get into the scene for quite a while.
