Hey everyone,
I've got a problem with a 1993 Ford Probe GT that I just bought, The headlights stay up and won't go down. I've turned on the headlight switch and the switch that holds them up when they are off, doesn't do anything. How many relays are in the system? Is this a common problem? The fuse in the PDB is ok and under the dash. Any ideas? Thanks,
Mike

OK. for the probe the can be down and off. (obviously) for up they can be on and off (i guess for show) you just have to play with the switch.

I had the same problem, and found a quick but not permanate fix, but at least it keeps me from having to manually turn down the headlight under the hood.
the switch in the dash has a white wire with a red stripe, run power to it and the switch will work the flip lights up and down, the problem is when the switch is in the down possition as when the lights are off, and you turn on the light and they come up, they start to cycle up and down repeatidly untill you press the dash switch then they stay up.
then when you turn the headlight switch off say to park car, lights will stay up till you press dash switch to lower them, I have not traced the whole system yet, but I figure by my doing it this way I have bypassed the relay, and maybe that's way they cycle up and down that way, but it does get your lights down without doing it manually.
hope it helps you...

Try looking under the hood for the fuse box. There should be a fuse in there marked something like flip ups or light motor or something like that it's a normal two prong fuse that is usually a 20 amp fuse. I take mine out all the time to do the sleepy eye look... I will keep them from goin up or down they just stay where I adjust them...
