Hello guys, I'm about to buy a '96 F-150 with a 351W in it. I am planning to do a head swap on it (along with some other small things) and I would like to know if there are any full-length headers out there available for this truck and what kind of fitment issues I may have trying to use the GT-40 P (Explorer) heads with the modified spark plug angle?
I have a set of P's laying here and figured I'd use them, since the port sizes embarrass the E7TE's and should work extremely well on a Windsor, and they make better low-end torque than the standard GT-40 heads I'm about to pull off of my Cobra.
If I'm gonna run into fitment issues, though, I'll just run the standard GT-40's. They will need valve springs (been running over .500 lift on the stockers) and I don't want to punch the head bolt holes on my Cobra heads, as I'd like to retain the ability to put the car back to stock...
If anyone has tried this or if there are any engine guru's here please chime in.... thanks. -AJ
