since you are the one that knows the most about se-r's do you know if is regular for water to come out thru the top of the small reservoir next to the radiator and next to the windshield wiper fluid, do you know why it does it?

ummmm spilling out the top? no thats not usual... you sure you have coolant in your radiator?
the coolant reservoir should be filled only like 1/3 of the way up. it is there to catch any coolant when the engine cools down and the water pump stops pumping it through the engine.

it's there so there's extra room when the coolant heats up, because the volume will increase. So knowing that, the only reason your coolant would be spilling out of the top of that would be because your car is overheating. If it's not overheating, then there must be something wrong with your water pump or thermostat. Either that or you fill it up too much. OR your temp guage is broken, but not likely.
