more power out of my 4.3

i have a 4.3L in my 1995 gmc sierra any ideas to get more power out of it? does the k&n air filter or the fram air hog make a big difference? any suggestions? i dont want to do a engine swap to a 5.7L cause the fuel mileage in the 4.3 is awesome and id never get anywhere close with a 5.7

yess i want to no to cuz my 88 4.3 needs more power? lol dont have time and a place to switch engine just wanna make it faster and idea's

no i said i could beat a stock 350 in a race light to light on the street in the 1/4 mile they would kill me.

I have a 4.3 and a K&N air filter, Flowmaster exhaust, and a blaster ignition coil, all this added some power not a GREAT deal.. also MSD ignitions add more, headers, intake manifold, air intake, thottle body spacers add 5-10HP, one of my friends has all this n its fairly quick for a v6, jumps off the line fast but theres not much u can do to them to make a big enough difference so you can run with the 305's or 350's
