Ok i got the boost controller to work today but it seems to only want to push 10 psi around 5k rpms and maybe 13/14 before that. I thought that you could run more than that if you have it set at 15 or so. I was reading on dsmtalk and they say you should be able to hold 15 until about 6k before it drops. Do you think that i have a boost leak somewhere? Also would the length of the vacuum hose cause me a problem it seems kind of long but it was just to test out how the controller would run.

The t-25 will drop off to 10psi between 5-6k, so there may be nothing wrong. I doubt the hose length would have anything to do with it.

It could be a boost leak problem, set it up and find out. "Instructions" for that are on vfaq (assemble as shown).

Yeah that is what I went to I was just making sure that was suposed to drop that low. I'll try it to day ad see if i can turn it up to 16 psi and see where it tops off.

thanks

ok when you turn up your boost how many times do you guys normally turn the nob? I gess i turned it 3 or four times but i didn't get any bigger numbers. So do you think i just need to turn it more and then try. The only thing that seems different from when it was not connected it that first gear is really strong, I mean puts you in your seat. Any ideas why it wont go up I followed the vfaq instructions perfectly!

The t-25 stops making power at about 5k, it is common to see boost drop around there. As for the knobs, it really depends on the boost controller you have....

My joe p is about a quarter turn for 1-2 psi. This is fairly common for ball/spring MBCs. If you are going 3-4 full turns and not seeing a change, something is wrong. I would suspect boost leaks. In my case, I used to drop to ~14 psi over 5500 rpm. 10 psi is pushing it...

ok i played with it tonight and i did get up to 14 psi but then i tried to turn it up so i could get alittle more out of it and then it droped down to 13 again. Checked for boost leaks and there were none found so could it be the turbo is just going to die soon and that is all there is to it. I tried to go to the site for the company and it doesn't even show that they sell boost controllers so that was shity. I have no idea I'm a a complete loss for words on this. But it does pull nice in 1st and 2nd 3rd doesn't have near as much power as it did before now that i have it connected correctly. I'm not venting either so I don't see what the big deal is about not doing so other than its loud as hell but my car runs the same venting or not doesn't run rich. Should i try to use it while venting do you think that would have any affect on how well the boost controller works?

The BOV has nothing to do with the amount of boost you are able to make. Unless you have a crappy, leaking BOV. Venting is not a good idea, don't do it. You will be running rich every time you shift, as you are loosing metered air from the system. There by the ECU is injecting fuel for more air than is really there.

I didn't have a MBC or EBC and all I did was the BCsolenoid restrictor removal and I was boosting at about 14psi..... but yes it dropped off to about 11 or so when the rpm's got up there....that was on the T-25
