New to forum and just purchased a 2002 LT. I read a lot of the posting here last night and where some good reading and helpful information.
I particular like the post about doing the outside mirror turn signals. It referenced an Envoy forum for a very good step by step guide. I was all set to get that done, called my local dealer and supplied him with the two part numbers listed on the guide. The two numbers (88944062 & 88944063) where for the lens only. He informed me that he had to order, I asked about the bulb and bulb socket. He said he could order the lens and bulb but if I wanted the bulb socket I would have to buy the complete turn signal mirror at a cost of $345 a piece.
Could someone give me the part numbers for the left and right bulb socket so I could look around at other dealers and supply them with just the part numbers? It may be that they knew what I had in mind and tried to get me to buy the complete system. Is there any place I can get these, I want to do the turn signal mirrors but I am not paying $345 X 2 to have them.
Thanks in advance. Very informative forum.

$690 for just the lens and socket is definitely over priced.
I would try ebay and get a used RH and LH side mirrors with the turn signals and install those. Then sell the old ones.

Sorry, I may have incorrectly described the price. $690 is for the complete outside mirror assembly (L/R). The parts guys said that I would have to get the whole mirror assembly if I wanted the socket for the bulb. But yet I could just get the plastic lens if I wanted.
To me I think it is ludicrous (spelling) in being forced to buy the whole mirror assembly in order to get the socket for the bulb.
I have seen the mirrors on E-bay going for around $150 a piece but with the guide that was posted you could get the lens and the bulb socket for approx $50.

The lens come with bulbs and sockets. It is not listed with that in the parts list at the dealer. There are about 10 of us here that have done the retro fit. It looks great and not to hard to do.
Look up in the past messages you will find a huge thread on the subject.
The lens are about 10.00 a piece wholesale.

Thanks, I think I have read all the post on this subject prior to my post, that is what got me wanting to do this, I guess I did not read real close and misunderstood what I did read. I have went through all the subject matters and read the ones that interest me along with the ones on this subject.
I re-read the guide on the Envoy forum and did not read closely this line the author mentioned:
“Actual cost from my dealer was $9.89 a piece plus tax for a total of just under $21. They come with the bulb and socket shown below as well.”
Thanks for clarifying this for me. I am good to go now. :grinno:
I do have another question on this. Do you splice the wires into the plug that are located at the buttons that work the windows and door locks that are located on the door panel or is at the plugs at are at the door jam? I think I understand that it is at the plugs for window and door lock buttons and not down at the door jam where the harness goes into the body of the trailblazer.
Thanks for the help and for clarifying this for me.

So Robert1010 you have added these to your TB? Because $10.00 a peice is the price I found online also but that seems quite cheap for everything you need.

Does anyone know the part number for the right side only? I did the swap but my girl already hit something and broke that side. Also , does anyone know where you can get clear ones? I saw a envoy that had clear lenses instead of orange, and it looked great. Thanks

OK, the RH side is 88944063. Im pretty sure that is the RH side, but you might want to check with your dealer. Tell them you have an LTZ, otherwise they might not tell you. As for the clear lenses, they are on the 06 Envoy and TrailBlazer. Only on the higher end ones as well. Parts arent available now, and you probably cant get your hands on a set for another 2-4 weeks minimum.

I just want to say I am another person out there with the trailblazer mirror turn signal add ons. I read all the posts I could and bought the parts from the dealer (20 some dollars). It took me just a few hours and boom! it worked great! Thanks for all the great info.

I just had a 5 gallon bucket fall off a truck and it hit my passenger side mirror (going 70 mph). Cracked the mirror and exterior housing. Can anyone tell me how difficult it is to replace the entire mirror assembly (it has the turn signal lights in the assembly). If anyone has replaced the entire housing, I would like to know how much work is involved in replacing the housing. Unless someone has a cheaper alternative, I was thinking about buying one on ebay. I see them selling it for about 150-175.00.
Thanks in advance for any help.
