Is there a quick / easy way to identify whether or not you have a limited slip tranny? My JDM B16a has the Y1 tranny that came with it, and I haven't driven many of these so I can't tell from driving it really.
It is supposedly limited slip, but I don't know how to tell w/o taking it apart... anybody have ideas??
Picking up an LS tranny today for the swap into the CRX... have the JDM Y1, but picked up an LS for a bit better fuel economy.
Somebody said something on this site about a "hybrid" tranny, Y1 w/ a LS 5th gear... Let me know if that works! I would do it!

It will have LSD stamped on the top of it.

if you can see straight through the differential (where the axles go into the tranny) its an lsd. if theres a rod-like thing going accross the middle of it, non lsd like the majority of us.
