My son (who is in the Army) has a leak from his water pump. Any estimates as to about how much this is going to set him back? Thanks, Don

Well here's the update. The local Chrysler dealer quoted $372. That also included a new timing belt. At first I thought that was high, but if its 5 hrs. labor plus parts sounds fair to me.

that's about right , they have to pull the timing belt covers and everything else to replace it , not out in the open like a lot of engines and the general practice is to replace the timing belt too because it is right there with the water pump and you won't have to open that back up up for another 100000 miles by doing that and you won't have to worry about the timing belt breaking and leaving you stranded if it has never been replaced .
