OK guys I'm desperate. Yesterday I started my car and it was just a little hiccup. Today I tried to start it and nothing. Well, not nothing more of a click whirrrr. Now It's mostly just a click hum. Tried jumping it, nothing. The temp gauge spikes everytime I turn the key. It's a '90 Bonneville.

Where's the starter located on a 90? If possible a diagram would help.

What size engine? It should be just under the front end in on the side of the engine next to the radiator. It sounds like the solenoid is not engaging the starter but you will need to remove it to change it.
