what is a good brand of glasspack..i heard thrush..now dynomax owns thrush and they dont sound the same as they used to,,,, is there any old ones out there? im planning to run dual exhaust from headers back,no cats...hows that make the MPG????

Dynomax "Thrush" Magnums, Flowtech Purple Hornies and Red Hots are some old-school brands you can get from summitt....

ok i was thinking about some of them purple hornies....but i dont know how they would go on my truck..caz they bolt to the manifold...which would put them hanging down like 12-18 inches??? or maybe they will juss bolt pointing strait toward the back...i dunna. i dont know much about all that stuff as u can tell...lol. but are those brands better than cherrybomb??? u hear them truck running around popin and crackin real loud?? well thats what i want.. how do i get it? thanks

The "Popin and Crackin" you hear from some trucks is from air being sucked in due to an exaust leak early in the system.
I use the sound as kind of a "idiot light" that tells me when I need to tighten or replace my header gaskets.
Suggestion...Go with straight pipes all the way out the back and put Glass-packed tips on the ends. .... And put in a cross over pipe early in the system. A good set of headers will change the sound and add some good top end ponies too.
Large ID pipe will keep it throaty sounding and will help with the top end too. Small ID pipe is just wrong.
