Just got done putting in a Aiwa CD450MP something like that.
Got no power!!! Last year, a CD player got burned up due to some wires touching, I haven't had anything since. I've heard it spin up for a few seconds, as if it had power, but it was random, and nothing else came of it.
Can wires be burned out? I think my car's wires may be faulty because of the last accident.
I have it right also:
Car.....................Aftermarket
12V Batt Wht/blu = Yellow
12V IGN Yell/red = Red
Ground Black = Black

Do you have a mulitmeter? You seem pretty knowlageable so go test the ignition wire and battery wire. The battery should always read around 12 volts and the ignition should only read around 12 when the key is turned. This happened in my frineds EG and we found out that the battery wire was disconnected somewhere so rather then try to find where, we just ran a new wire from the battery to the head unit. If that is your problem make sure you put..i think.. a 15 amp fuse on that wire. I think i made a post about it...search.

Sleep, or should I say lack of, has been owning me good for a while, takes away my knack for figuring shit out, and it takes away my patience....
