Slicking up a dash

Ok guys I seem to have a dilema.....I am about to embark on the right hand drive conversion and am getting prepaired. The only snag I see so far is the dash. My car has black interior and the damn right hand drive dash is grey. Since I have smoothed and molded in the door panels and will paint them the same color as the car I figured I would do the same to the dash. I need to do this right the first time as another rhd dash prob wont come along for a while. How do I get the finish of the dash smooth. Its not a hard plastic. It is a vinyl over some foam.

you could try extremely light sanding with like 1500 grit sandpaper.......2000 might work but that also might be too fine of a grit to even blemish it.....

both will work, but i think the fiberglass will come out better and last longer, plus you could add a few custom touches to make it really stand out.

I think the fiberglass will prob be the ticket........damn trying to sand some vinyl.

Thanks guys......I can't tell by the pic in the link if he filled the defroster vents........or if they come off.

He took them off, they can be removed.
