Power window motor

So no one has had any ideas about the power windows for the F-body? Come on...I know someone out there has had the same problem with their window motors going out. GM needs to make a beefier window motor!

And what about the subframe connectors...who sells the best one?

Fine then if you guys won't talk about this then I will!
I'm going to make it my personal goal to solve the F-body power window problem.
If I have to install a Ford Bronco rear window motor in my F-body then I'll do it! Our windows are so heavy they just burn out so fast!
There has to be an aftermarket solution to this problem.

the fix to your problem is to buy the brass gears..you can buy them on ebay

What do you mean Brass Gears? I'm not talking about the headlight motors. I'm talking about the window motors.

Plus, I don't hear the motor still turning whenever they go out. So I think it's just the whole thing that burns up.

If I'm wrong, then please give me some link to order whatever your talking about. I'd like to solve the problem.

hey man, sorry..i think when i posted this i was reading this one and one about headlight motors at the same time. the only suggestion i have about the door motors is to replace them, there is a step by step website that someone has posted on the forums..i know because i used it, i'll try to find it and post it

No sweat, it would be nice if there was a permanent fix for the window motors.
If you could though, please post the website if your able to find it.
I think I found the same site your talking about but I can't find it anymore and it's been awhile since I've needed the window motor to be fixed.
It's working right now, but I want to get perpared for next time the window doesn't work anymore. I'm here in Florida and this time of year it can rain for days and days. Sucks.

Also, want to ask about your car. I guess thats yours...?
Your brakes...is that just sprayed on paint? Or is that a conversion kit or something else?
One thing I want to do to my car is look into getting a conversion kit for the LS1 brakes or perhaps (when I have lots more cash) get a conversion kit with the Porsche GT brakes.
I was going to work one day on a major highway we have in Jacksonville and traffic went to a dead stop while cruising at 80 mph.
I had to go off into the grass (I was in the "fast lane") but ran out of grass because of a stupid 'construction' sign and also a bridge was coming up. So I hit the metal railing instead of hitting the truck infront of me. Better to scrap up the front fender then slamming into a truck I say.

But ya, what brakes you got? I want more stopping power.

here is that link for the website...http://shbox.com/page/windowmotor.html

it isnt easy but it is a lot better than paying a dealer to do it.

that is my car, and it is the only time it has ever seen snow(it was the first day i had the rims on it). The brakes are the just the 4 wheel disc brake option that came with the Firebirds. I have upgraded the rotors and pads to the top of the line Napa pads and rotors...I didnt know the ceramic pads squeal though, so i think i'm gonna replace my pads with the OEM ones that Advance Autoparts sells. For the paint I just went to Advance and picked out the brightest red and painted the calipers red...to make it seem brighter I painted the back of the pads black...it kind of makes it more defined
