Brakes!

After towing my vehicle home the other day (chain) and repairing the fuel problem, I now see that the brake light is on along with the ABS light. It also seems that only the front brakes are working. Any suggestions?

You didn't say what year your Dads Ranger is,but My '90 has a sensor in the bottem of the brake master cyl. This will activate both lights if res. is low.

If res. is full , has the float stuck to bottom ? The sensor is magnetic & if float is near/on bottom the lights will come on.It is also possible to have the park brake light AND the abs sensor (top of rear differential) to fault at the same time.AS to having front brakes only , with a full reservoir , I would be thinking adjustment or poor linings,something mechanical.
