Some quick questions

Hi Folks,
I'm thinking about using a Supra rear end in my Classic 29 Essex Coupe street rod, and I was wondering about a couple of things.

The rod should only weigh around 2500Lbs, and I'll probably only run around 300hp. I might just splurge on a set of aftermarket heads and run as high as 400hp.

My questions are.

1 - Are there any years that the rear ends were built stronger?
2 - Is Posi standard, or is it just an option.
3 - Are disk brakes standard.

I looked under a Supra at the wrecker and was very impressed with what I saw. I don't know why no one else uses them
The rear sub frame should make this conversion easy and it isn't much wider than my stock frame.

Thanks in advance
If you want to see the car that I plan on doing this conversion to look in my MSN space, you'll see the link in my sig. I finally have some time to work on it

1- I believe the MK4's may be stronger than the MKiii, as they came with more HP

2- Posi came with the 'sport' pkg. The vin code can tell you if it is LSD.

3- yes

wats the difference between the non-turbo(n/a) supra and the twin turbo(TT) supra besides that the non-turbo is a non-turbo.
