Cold air, air conditioning problem

Hey guys I'm new to the fourm, please forgive that part haha... but I have a problem.

I put in a cold air intake system... well the short version due to not yet having the part to protect from flooding (since it floods in my area) But after I put it on everything runs great, sounds great, its all great until I turn on the air conditioning, then the rpms drop and the car trys to save itself, but ends up dying... has anyone else had this problem and if so how did you solve it?

I appreciate the help.

disconnect your battery, leave it for 30 seconds, and then reconnect it. This will reset youe Computer.

I have that same problem. The weird thing was it didn't happen till 8 months after I put on the intake. I've reset the ECU a couple times for various things and it still persists. It doesn't bother me though cause I don't use the AC anyway.

Yeah I tried to reset it, still doesn't work, maybe its something else, and just happened at the same time... but in LA it gets to 100 with the heat index so AC is a must haha.

Oh it gets plenty hot here in Maryland too ( 101 heat index the other day), I just refuse to put on the AC cause the car feels like a dog with it on plus it wastes gas. So I just cruise with the windows down.

puttin an intake on your vechile shouldnt have damaged the ac, just make sure everything is connect and no air is leaking out...what name brand did you put on? Second, what year is your car and how many miles do you have, it might be time for your ac system to be recharged.
