Cruise Servo or Speed Contol Sensor???

I had a previous thread on my cruise control problem. Someone stated in the thread that my problem could be the cruise servo. I recenly took my caravan to my local mechanic. When he did a engine code check on it, it came up as a speed control sensor. He replaced the sensor and I am still having the same problem and some. He doesn't know what else he can do except for me to take it to a dealer. I don't like going to the dealer because of it being too expensive. Besides, if they did a code check on it and came up with the same thing what more could they do? My problem is that when the cruise is engaged it sometimes work for a little and sometimes shuts off immediatley. Once it shuts off you can not engage it again until the key is turned off and engine is restarted. Now that my mechanic replaced the speed control sensor, it shuts off immediatley. Any suggestions? I would hate to take it to a dealer and pay an arm and a leg and I don't know how much the cruise servo costs either.

Replace the cruise control servo. Go to a wrecking yard and pick up a used one. Why spend the bucks on a new one. Put it on and test it out. Search www.car-part.com and you should be able to find what you need. There are a couple of wrecking yards in the Mifflintown, Thompsontown, Newport area where you might be able to get one at a reasonable price.
