My '99 Suburban interior lights turn on by themselves (intermittently). The problem seem to happen sometimes and then it begin to work like it should. The only problem is that it once came on during the night and the next moring I found my battery dead. I've read where the door jam switches are a lot of times the problem. I bought one to try but can anyone tell me how to get the old one out? All help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I had the same problem in my 1999 Suburban including the dead battery in the AM. The door switch just pry’s out. Most of the time it is the driver’s side. I pulled the fuse until I replaced the driver’s side switch or you can override the dome light on the headlight switch by pushing the round button. Dave

Thanks Dave, I appreciate the response. When I looked at it, it seemed so tight and the one they sold me looked like it had fins on it which I thought was keeping it from coming out.
