Help replacing radiator

I have a 98 Explorer EB. Started overheating last month so I took it in to get an estimate. Right now there is no way I can pay what they want for that. I don't have much experience with new cars but I have done work on older models in the past. Bottom line is that I have to do this myself. I'm hoping that I can get some advice or instructions before I start this job. I was told there will be some difficulty if the air conditioning system is involved in any way. I would appreciate any and all advice on this one, except advising me to leave it alone, that isn't an option for me. Thanks in advance.

It is a straight forward replacement. Just look at it as you go along and you will see what needs removed. The A/C is not connected in any way to the cooling system. So you should be able to do it with minimal problems. Good luck.

It was just like you said, straight forward. The biggest problem I had was pulling it out but that's only because I broke my back in 95 and lifting is difficult. Oh and the fact that it started pouring down rain didn't make it any easier either but other than that it was smooth. All it took was the little bit of reassurance that you gave and I went right to it. Not bad for an old broad if I have to say so myself. Thank you for your quick reply.
